Grand Opening 2013

2013-Grand-Opening-Invitation

Treetop Obstacle Course / Climbing Adventure Grand Opening
Friday June, 21st and Saturday June, 22nd

If you're here, then you've recieved an invitation to explore our new Treetop Obstacle Course and Climbing Adventure and to see for yourself why we are so excited.  Your attendance and participation at this event is requested and will help demonstrate how important eco-tourism, recreation, and job creation are to our state and region.  Additionally, we're certain that you and your guest will have a blast.

The new Treetop Obstacle Course and Climbing Adventure are in sharp contrast to our Zip Line Canopy Tour which offers long, gravity-fed traverses and requires little exertion by participants.  The new courses are for participants who are seeking a physical challenge and are ready to work for their adventure.  Both courses are designed to offer a little something for everyone, with routes and elements ranging from easy to extremely challenging.

The Treetop Obstacle Course will blend scenic views with more than 50 unique elements ranging from easy to extremely challenging. Employing new smart-belay technology that insures 100% connectivity to the overhead fall protection system, participants will have the opportunity to navigate from tree platform to tree platform by wobbly bridges, rope swings, cargo nets, balance beams, zip lines and more. A total of five course areas will be available for this summer, two of which will be appropriate for families with children as young as four years of age.

Participants on the new Climbing Adventure can test their daring and prowess scaling an artificial rock wall, a series of vertical challenge obstacles, or, for a more unique feat, attempt to summit one of the Notch's stately sugar maples or eastern hemlocks. Multiple routes ranging from easy to challenging will be available.

The new courses can be experienced as stand-alone conquests, or incorporated with each other, the Zip Line Canopy Tour, and the new youth or corporate team building programs debuting later this summer.

While we believe the Zip Line Canopy Tour will continue to be the keystone of our operation, these new programs provide great adventures at a great price and give locals and visitors to the region even more reason to get outside and engage in healthy adventures.

GRAND OPENING CELEBRATION

To celebrate, we're throwing a two-day party filled with events and activities.  You and a guest are invited to attend on Friday, June 21st, Saturday, June 22nd, or both.  In addition to opportunities to explore the Treetop Obstacle Course and Climbing Adventure, Smugglers' Notch Resort welcomes participants to explore their many summer offerings including water slides and pools, hikes, award-winning child care and youth programs, family programming, disc golf and more.
